Published by Nintendo in the US, the Square Enix-developed Bravely Second: End Layer for Nintendo 3DS has an official release date: April 15, 2016. This is just one of many Japanese RPGs scheduled to come out this year for the 3DS. Nintendo is calling this game massive, suggesting there’s quite a lot of content packed into the tiny cartridge.
In addition, Nintendo revealed the Bravely Second: End Layer Collector’s Edition. It will retail for $69.99 and releases the same day as the regular version. It will include the game, a 10-song original soundtrack, and a 250-page deluxe art book. If the past few years has taught us anything, you’ll want to get this preordered as soon as it goes live at retailers or you’ll likely miss out.
As was the case with its predecessor, Bravely Default, Bravely Second will have a free demo on the eShop prior to release. It’s called The Ballad of the Three Cavaliers and includes a unique story different than the one found in the full retail release. It includes new jobs and areas to explore as well. StreetPass tags and bonuses you accumulate in the demo will carry over to the main game. Now, that’s the right way to do a demo! No word on release date for the demo, but we’ll post that information as it becomes available.
