Digital Download Thursdays

It’s a busy week for the eShop. Those of you who own a New Nintendo 3DS can download a new trio of Super Nintendo virtual console games. They are some of the best ones ever released for the 16-bit powerhouse, including: Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Remember that these games can be played in true pixel mode, allowing for a crisp and beautiful picture.

Not to be left out of the Virtual Console fun is Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day (DS) for the Wii U. This was a hugely popular title about ten years ago on the DS and it could prove to be just as addicting on a home console.

Remember that Nintendo still has the Super Spring Sale going on, so check out some of the games you can purchase at reduced prices. In addition, you can now pick up Shovel Knight on the 3DS or Wii U eShop for only $9.99 until April 21. If you haven’t yet played this game and love titles like Mega Man and DuckTales, be sure to nab it now and thank me later.

Also new this week is Asdivine Hearts from Kemco. It’s got the look of a classic Japanese RPG and is available now for the Wii U. Check out the trailer below!
