Shown off to wide criticism at last year’s E3 show, Metroid Prime: Federation Force has laid low until it was properly shown off in the last Nintendo Direct. At that time the game was given a “late spring” release window. Many expected it to launch in June, but it appears the game may need a little extra time in the oven or that Nintendo of America has decided to spread out some of its upcoming releases.
No matter the reason, the 3DS game now has an official release date and is now scheduled to come out on August 19. Those attending PAX East this weekend can get some hands-on time with the four-player co-op mode. For more information, including screens and videos check out our preview.
