Picross 3D Round 2 Now Available

I’m a huge fan of the Picross games. The normal set of games is a top-down 2D affair, but a few years ago Nintendo released Picross 3D for the original Nintendo DS. It was a unique change on how the game played, and for many, it was a huge improvement. While I still personally enjoyed the fast pace of the 2D versions, it’s nice to see a new entry in the 3D space with Picross 3D Round 2 on 3DS.

Nintendo likes to surprise people, so it was quite a treat when this morning during its Nintendo Direct it announced that Picross 3D Round 2 would be available for download after the broadcast. For those who want to give it a try, there’s a free demo up on the eShop right now. For the rest of you puzzle-heads out there, the full game will cost you $29.99. The game is full of over 300 new puzzles and even features amiibo compatibility.
