This time lapse video for Breath of the Wild used to appear on Nintendo of Japan’s Zelda homepage. It has since been removed so we wanted to make sure it was saved for prosperity. It can be quite relaxing to sit back and watch day slowly turn into night.
A couple of things to watch out for. At 1:36 you get your first glimpse at the huge Guardian or monster climbing up Death Mountain. You’ll soon see it climbing down the other side. This continues throughout the video.
At 16:35 a meteor crashes down from the sky! Its reflection can even be seen in a nearby lake as it hits the ground. Upon doing so it leaves a huge beacon of light to give Link a marker to track it down. What could be waiting there? Precious metals or an amazing treasure? We can’t wait to find out!
Of course, for more videos, screens, and information check out our preview and our Zelda Item Guide. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to come out in 2017 for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
