Over the past couple of years GameStop has been steadily adding lots of video game related merchandise, like shirts, toys, ornaments, and more. It bought Think Geek and it’s wonderful to see some of these collectibles get some massive discounts for Black Friday.
Looking closer at the advertised video game deals it’s probably not a big surprise that there aren’t too many Nintendo products on sale. It appears that Nintendo went into this holiday season not catering to the retailers with great software price cuts. Like everywhere else, GameStop will have the New 3DS in black or white for $99.99.
When it comes to software on other systems, there are some notable price cuts. Dying Light The Following and Doom will both be on sale for $19.99. The Deluxe version of Star Wars Battlefront is only going to be $9.99 – not bad for a game that’s barely one year old.
Some newer releases are also getting slashed by 50%. Both Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and X-Com 2 will only be $29.99. Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 are going to be $39.99, but we’ve seen better prices on these games at places like Walmart.
One game that I’ve been looking for to go on sale for Black Friday has finally shown up in ad: Dragon Quest Builders for PS4. It’s dropping down to $39.99, which is $20 off. Rise of the Tomb Raider and World of Final Fantasy get the same treatment.
There are some major discounts on PC stuff this year as well. If you’re interested in an Alienware Steam Machine, GameStop lists two of them at 50% off. Many downloadable PC games are 85% off.
