VIDEO: Swapdoodle Launch Trailer

Soon after the Nintendo 3DS launched, one of the fun apps for the system was Swapnote. Unfortunately, due to some awful events in Japan involving children, the app was updated and the online communication aspect of it was taken out.

It’s been a few years, but now Nintendo has released Swapdoodle, a sort of revamped version of Swapnote. Users can send messages and drawings to each other and when viewed it animates the drawings just like they were made. This time around there are stamps that can be traced to create iconic Nintendo characters. There is DLC that can be purchased for even more customization. The application is free to use and can be downloaded from the 3DS eShop starting today.
