NES Classic Edition Developer Interview: The Legend Of Zelda

Nintendo has been running a fantastic series of interviews with the developers behind some of the games included on the NES Classic Edition mini-console. They already talked about Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong. Now it’s time for one of the best series ever created: The Legend of Zelda. For this interview Mr. Miyamoto, Mr. Tezuka, and Mr. Kondo are asked to recall development details of the original game, which came out on the Famicom Disk System in Japan and on a special golden cartridge with battery back-up in North America.

Did you know that The Legend of Zelda was inspired by adventure films like Indiana Jones? Or that the development of the game began before Super Mario Bros., but it took longer to create so Mario released before Zelda? For more insights into the original Zelda game, be sure to read the full interview here!
