Forbes & TIME Weigh In On Nintendo Switch; Come Away Impressed

We sometimes get so focused on the hardcore gaming sites and forums that we overlook what the mainstream media thinks of video games. Today the embargo was lifted on the Nintendo Switch hardware and the Internet was flooded with unboxing videos, user interface walkthroughs, and tons of little details and impressions from everyone who was lucky enough to receive a Switch early. After wading through all of the IGNs, GameSpots, and GameXplains of the world, we decided to see what other, perhaps less hardcore sites had to say about the Switch.

As it turns out, both Forbes and TIME had very positive impressions of the Nintendo Switch. In fact, one only has to read the title of the articles to see that they both really like it. The Forbes article, “The Nintendo Switch Is A Technological Work Of Art” really caught our attention. The very first line of the article reads, “The Nintendo Switch is a sexy beast“. The praises keep on coming throughout and is definitely worth a read.

TIME’s headline is “The Nintendo Switch Appears To Be Everything We Hoped For“. In fact, the story goes on, “These are just my first impressions of the system, but for the past 48 hours neural scans of my brain would probably resemble explosions in the sky. This, in theory, is the system I’ve wanted Nintendo to make for a very long time.” There are many more positive impressions throughout and it’s great to read about the snappy UI and personal findings from both authors.

The Nintendo Switch launches next Friday, March 3. If you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go freeze ourselves. See you in a week!
