Lego City Undercover Gains Co-Op Mode & Releases April 4

Lego City Undercover is coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 4, 2017. The big news is that the rumors are true and the game is adding a 2-player co-op mode. The original game for the Wii U was a single-player experience, which really stood out because the Lego games are known for their co-op gameplay.

Lego City Undercover on the Wii U still remains my personal favorite Lego game. It combines an open world to explore with standard Lego-type missions and levels sprinkled throughout. Even on the Wii U the game had some nice graphics and we expect them to be improved for the Switch version. One of its strongest assets is its use of humor throughout the story, with many pop culture references and riffs on classic movies. The only negative thing about the original was the load time was excruciating when going from a mission back out into the open world or vice versa. Hopefully this has been rectified in this new version.
