VIDEO: Puyo Puyo Tetris Back To Basics Trailer

Puyo Puyo Tetris is the puzzle mashup of the century! You might remember Puyo Puyo as Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine or Kirby’s Avalanche from back in the 16-bit days. Now it’s been infused with Tetris to create a hybrid puzzler of epic proportions. Learn more with the video below:

I’m not one to judge if you don’t know how to pop Puyos or clear Tetriminos, but luckily for you there are tons of ways to learn how to play in Puyo Puyo™ Tetris®. Practice makes perfect, so playing the tutorials and training with the variety of challenge modes in the game will make you a pro in no time. Learn how to get better at initiating Puyo chains in Endless Fever and Endless Puyo modes! Practice your Tetris stacking strategies in Sprint and Ultra modes! There’s always room for improvement, so be sure to spend some quality time with the Challenge Modes. Of course, another way to get good is to actually play against other people! Even though you may fall to more experienced players at first, it’ll only be a matter of time before you feel the amazing thrill of victory.

Puyo Puyo Tetris will be available in the Americas (April 25) and Europe (April 28) for the PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™. The PlayStation 4 version will be available only in a physical format for $29.99, but the Nintendo Switch version will be available digitally for $29.99 and physically for $39.99, with a special launch edition that includes two Puyo Puyo- and Tetris-themed keychains while supplies last. The special launch edition of Puyo Puyo Tetris on the Nintendo Switch will only be available in quantities limited to pre-orders and first-run printings of the game in the Americas.
