Nintendo Digital Download Thursdays

It’s another busy week in the Nintendo Switch eShop. As we reported yesterday, if you’re itching for some Puyo Puyo Tetris action, you can now download a free demo to give it a try. If you’re digging something a little more meaty and frenetic, then Mr. Shifty is your game! You’ll use your powers to shift through walls, bullets, and even enemies to outsmart them and take them down. We gave it a 9 out of 10 in our review!

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is coming to Switch today! This is a fun party game that lets everyone play with their smart devices or computers – no need for a bunch of controllers. There are five different games to play, each with their own sense of humor.

Finally, on Switch comes Samurai Showdown IV. This is the latest in the Neo Geo collection of games that are now available on the Switch, with more on the way.

For the rest of this week’s downloadable content, read on:

    • BYE-BYE BOXBOY! – The epic trilogy that has taken the world of geometry by storm comes to its dramatic conclusion with the BYE-BYE BOXBOY! game, from the folks at HAL Laboratory, Inc., creators of the Kirby series. By rescuing new Qbabies, main character Qbby will receive one of four powers – Boxrocket, Bombox, Warpbox and Remotebox – that can help the boxy hero overcome obstacles in a new way. Tapping any of the Kirby series amiibo figures (sold separately) like Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight or Waddle Dee will permanently unlock a new colorful costume for Qbby based on that character. A free demo for all three games in the series is also available in Nintendo eShop.
    • Team Kirby Clash Deluxe – As part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the adorable Kirby franchise, this free-to-start game features four Kirby characters with different powers: Sword Hero, Hammer Lord, Beam Mage and Doctor Healmore.
