Hyperkin RetroN HD Plays NES Carts In 720p

If you’ve got a stack of NES Game Paks and nothing to play them on, then this new system from Hyperkin could be the solution. Retailing for only $39.99, the RetroN HD accepts both North American and European NES cartridges and displays them in beautiful 720p.

The system comes with a 3 foot HDMI cable and a 6 foot Micro USB charge cable with AC Adapter. A Hyperkin wired controller with a 10 foot cable is also included in the package and for you old-school CRT television aficionados you can even use standard AV cables as well.

The games will be able to be played in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. The games are played instantly with no emulation being used. The RetroN HD includes two controller ports on the front of the system so you can even use your original NES accessories.

You can currently pre-order one of the machines directly from Amazon for $39.99. It has a release date of May 25, 2017 and you can choose from Gray or Black.
